Michter's has revived a whiskey that was once their best seller. In a sour mash, a portion of the fermented mash from one batch is used to start the fermentation of the next. Burnt sugar, spice, tree fruit and vanilla notes up front, and ginger and black pepper on the finish. Pour with barbecued ribs or pecan pie.
